Happy New Year Jaguar families!!!

With the new year, the FPAC is starting to think of the next school year... which means it's time for elections!!!

Have you ever thought "yeah, I could do that!" or "I think they should try this"?  

You might enjoy being a FPAC Board member!

FPAC (Franklin Parent Advisory Council) is the organization for the school that is similar to a PTO/PTA.  FPAC is here to enhance the experience of the students' school experience!  We do that through many activities.  Although this is not a complete list, some activities include:

• Ice Cream Social
• Poetry Recitation Contest
• Fall Festival
• 100th Day
• Color Run
• Field Day

FPAC also provides gifts each month for our amazing teachers, purchases gifts for the school in general, runs the Box Tops campaign, passes out oranges and water to the kids during Turkey Trot, decorates 6th grade hall for the Clap Out, organizes the yearbook, and many, many more!!!

We'd love to have new ideas and new faces on the FPAC!  We would love to have YOU be a part of the group!!!

Feed My Starving Children Service Opportunity

We know your type... awesome human, amazing role model- yeah... you know we're talking about you!  We know you lead by example and you have a heart of service... and we also know that serving is fun with family and friends.

Well, we've got just the opportunity for you and your Jaguar!

FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN!!!

Once again, BFCS- Gilbert will be going to the Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) facility in Mesa (1345 S Alma School, Mesa) and pack nutritious meals for those who may go without... meals that are specially formulated for malnourished children.  Standing side-by-side, adults and children can impact hundreds of lives by packing these life-saving meals.

We've booked two Mondays in April 2018 for the school to go and volunteer.  Choose one or both nights and join us!  By clicking the links below you can go sign up for a 2-hour shift.  YOU MUST BE SIGNED UP TO HELP.  Space is limited so please make sure you sign up everyone in your group.

Now... there are some things you will need to know...

• Sorry... children under the age of 5 are not allowed in the packing area- no exceptions.
• No jewelry in the packing area.

BFCS- Gilbert has always shown the community the amazing leadership ability our Jaguars have- service is no exception!  We look forward to serving with you this April!

Yearbook Cover Contest

The yearbook cover contest is happening RIGHT NOW!  Entries are due to the office by Thursday, Jan 11, 2018 by 8:45am.  Here are some items to remember:

All entries must:

• -       Be portrait NOT landscape orientation
• -       Include “Benjamin Franklin Charter School”
• -       Include the school year “2017-2018”
• -       Include your name and grade in pencil on the back

Helpful tips:

• -       Use bold colors, and fill the page with color (little or no white showing)
• -       Use neat handwriting
• -       Be creative!

Box Tops... every little bit helps!

Hey hey hey Jaguar families!!!

We're doing GREAT on the Box Tops!  As of Nov 30, 2017, our school has brought in about $944 in Box Tops monies!  We're getting closer to our $2500 goal!  

And this year all monies collected from Box Tops will go to purchasing 

trees to line the back field!!!

Now remember... you can go to the Box Tops website

and see the school's progress as well as enter any sweepstakes there may be going on!  The website also has coupons available for products with Box Tops on them, AND you can see which products will give BONUS Box Tops!  Just log into the Box Tops website for all of that and more!

Additionally, Box Tops has a free app that you can download to your smart phone... just use the same log in for the website and you are in!

Also make sure that you specify "Benjamin Franklin Charter School Gilbert Campus" in Gilbert, AZ 85296 as the school you are supporting.

With everyone's help, we'll have it made in the shade in no time!!!
