What We're Collecting

Used Clothing, Purses, Curtains, Sports Bags, Duffle Bags, Luggage, Comforters, Towels, Shoes, Belts, Backpacks, Pillows, Hats, Socks, Bedding, Sleeping Bags, draperies & even stuffed animals!
(Bring your items in bags. We're paid for every pound we collect!) See below for a detailed list of acceptable items.

How it works?

Benjamin Franklin Charter School-Gilbert Campus will be paid for each pound of textiles that are collected. The more, the merrier! Your donation may be tax deductible. Please contact Benjamin Franklin Charter School-Gilbert Campus for more details on this.

You're saving the environment while also raising money!

How are the items recycled?

The textiles collected are sorted into different categories:
- useable secondhand clothing which is resold both domestically and in developing nations.
- wiping rags for commercial and industrial purposes.
- textiles that will be recycled into fibers to make everyday products such as insulation, carpet padding, upholstery, etc.

Clothes (all types & sizes), Shoes, Purses, Wallets, Hats, Belts, Ties, Jewelry, Towels, Curtains, Drapes, Comforters, Dust Ruffles, Sheets, Pillows, Sleeping Bags, Blankets, Tablecloths, Boots, Soft Luggage, Gym bags, Duffle Bags, Briefcases, Sneakers, Jackets, Backpacks, Gloves, Mittens, Scarves, Linens, Bedding, Sports Bags, Throw Rugs (3 x 5 & smaller), and Stuffed Animals.

Household Items Category:

Home Decor, Lamps, Vases, Bikes, Knick-Knacks, Small Appliances (Toasters, Coffee Makers, Vacuum Cleaners, etc), Kitchen Utensils, Dishes, Pots and Pans, Sports Equipment, Toys, Games, Puzzles, Hand Tools, Small Power Tools, Electronics (Stereos, DVD players, Video Players, Radios, etc), Personal Computers (please erase personal data before donating), Hard Drives/Towers, Monitors, Mouse, Keyboards, Printers, Flat Screen HDTVs only, Giftwares, Collectibles, Housewares, Books, Records, CDs, DVDs, Video Tapes, Hard Luggage, Housewares, Glassware, and Antiques. 

Items that we can not accept:

CRT TVs, Household Chemicals, Large Furniture, Automotive Hazardous Waste, Large Appiances, Personal Care Items, Fragrance Items, Mattresses, Box Springs, Carpet/Carpet Padding, Plumbing Fixtures, Building Materials, Traditional City Recyclables, Weapons, Car Seats, Cribs, Paint, and Car Batteries.
